PCs Callum, Fabian and Merryn joined colleagues from across the force area in policing Leicester's night-time economy last night and will be doing so again tonight. Their presence helps keep people safe while supporting local businesses and visitors enjoying the city centre. 🏎️ Wishes 4 Kids Annual Racetrack Day
We were proud to support the Wishes 4 Kids Annual Racetrack Day, where children and their families had the opportunity to explore our police vehicles, learn more about policing, and even try out the sirens. It was fantastic to see so many smiles and help make the day special for everyone involved. 🏬 Business Engagement
PCSO V and PC Jess visited local businesses throughout the beat area, strengthening relationships and discussing concerns affecting staff, customers and the wider community. 🏥 Special Allocation Scheme Support
PC Merryn assisted with the Special Allocation Scheme, a partnership initiative with the NHS that ensures abusive or threatening patients are seen with police officers present in the surgery. This helps protect healthcare
staff and ensures any threats or abuse can be dealt with swiftly and appropriately. 🏠 Closure Order Application
PC Fabian has been preparing a Partial Closure Order Application for an address on the beat that has been consistently linked to anti-social behaviour and drug use.
If granted, the order will ensure that only the occupant is permitted to remain at the property, safeguarding them while helping to bring an end to the issues associated with the address. Anyone found at the property in breach of the court order would be liable to arrest and placed in front of the next available court. 🛍️ Supporting a Criminal Behaviour Order Application
PC Callum and PC Fabian assisted the Cultural Quarter Beat Team in obtaining victim and business impact statements as part of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) application for two persistent shop thieves. Both offenders were arrested, charged and remanded to court. The statements gathered will help demonstrate the wider impact of their offending on local businesses and the community. 🚔 Burglary Arrests
While carrying out enquiries relating to a separate incident at an address on the beat, PC Callum and PC Jess identified two individuals who were wanted on suspicion of burglary. They were swiftly arrested and taken to custody. 📹 CCTV Enquiries and Investigations
PCSO’s Phil, Jas and V carried out CCTV enquiries, visiting a number of local businesses to obtain footage and support ongoing investigations. 🏨 Community Reassurance Visits
PCSO Hafsa visited Leicester Royal Infirmary and Hotel Voco to provide reassurance and engage with staff, patients, visitors and members of the public. These conversations help us identify and address local concerns while strengthening relationships with those who live, work and visit the area. |
